…Our history, the origins of Nonno Contadino
The location of our family company is next to the Matildic lands, which are well known for their history and gastronomy, which offers superb products, to begin with Parmigiano Reggiano.
Nonno Contadino is the result of the work and effort of Gian Paolo Beghetti and his family with peasant origins that has always dealt with the care of the land and animal custody: hens, rabbits, pigs and cows.
Love for nature and its offers has always been the basis of our work. As in all the peasant families, the involvement is total; since childhood we learn how to care for the animals, we visit the barn with our parents, and we get to know the cycle of the seasons.
The union of tradition and the specialization in "dairy and animal husbandry" gave Beghetti Gian Paolo the opportunity to continue his father's business, after having gained experience in a dairy farm in the area, which allowed him to know different realities from his. In 1990, after the death of his father, he decided to continue this adventure alone, thus the farm Beghetti Gian Paolo was born.
Then the idea.
Why not showing the quality of our job and bringing our products on the tables of the people from Reggio and the tourists who come to visit our lands every year? A local chain, farm to table, with 100% natural products!

The tourists can park their campers at us and book a rich tasting of typical products from Emilia produced by us, such as hams and cheeses, and they can visit the complete production chain of Parmigiano Reggiano.
